Rihanna Wears Marchesa Spring 2011 Gown to EMA's

Rihanna made one stop out of many in Europe this weekend and this time she was spotted on the red carpet at the EMA's before a live performance. Rihanna is known for giving us some great red carpet looks so this one followed suite. I'm entirely in love with Marchesa and the Spring 2011 collection was absolutely genius. This Marchesa gown with ruched/floral detailing and a gorgeous soft hue goes excellent with her flamboyant red hair.  Kudos to Ri's team for a well executed red carpet look.

Rihanna and Lala Keeps Summer Alive With Bright Florals

I'm pretty sure Lala and Rihanna got the memo on earth tones, carmel, military, leopard and all these exciting patterns and trends for the fall. Come on, with a stylist like Mariel Hann and a growing icon (yes I said icon, it's still growing on me) Rihanna and style savvy Lala has this covered. This is why they threw all rules out the window and brought out the brights. Who said summer was only three months? Lala's strapless mini and Ri's skirt and cardigan set is the epitome of bold florals. Their figures, hair and makeup compliments their garden inspired attire which I love. 

Are you wearing bold florals this fall? or are they below your storage bin. I joined the dark on dark bandwagon this fall but this is inspiration to pull out the bold pieces atleast once during this cold season.

Fall Trend: Leopard Print

Who would ever thought that this animal inspired trend would resurrect from the pits of the tragic spring/ summer stampede of bold , digital, mixed, flourished prints and patterns to a must have trendy piece this fall?  With a hint of jungle fever and a tint of tan, camel and mud hues designers tapped into their animal instincts through an array of designs and texture. Whether it is the faux wildlife fur, classic spotted silhouettes or a menagerie inspired jewels you cannot go wrong with animal print this season. Chic savvy celebs and guru risk takers Rihanna and Willow Smith made this trend red carpet as well as cat walk meets sidewalk cool. Oh! And who said you can’t wear animal on animal? Follow their lead, if you are in the mood to layer a zebra on a tiger pattern then go for it. The Chic-Report recommends atleast one solid staple or embellished piece to execute an edgy flawless look. This fall Dolce and Gabbana, Mochsinco and Balmain breathed life into the hottest animal inspired separates. Go for the wild!

Rihanna released her newest video for her latest single "Rockstar 101" the 5th single off her R Rated album which was dropped last November. Although I'm posting this, I really havent seen the entire video to give a legitmate review. Hopefully we can discuss in the comment box.

Ahhhh Rihanna, we just cannot get enough of you, well... your sense of style and continually pushing the fashion envelope. Rihanna walked the red carpet as well as performed at the Kid's Choice Awards this weekend and as usual she looks effortlessly stunning in a Christian Dior dress straight off the Spring 2010 runway. Trust Riri to add extra edge and fabulousity to her ensembles. Ri and her styling team adding more padding to the shoulders to create that exaggerated shoulder statement. Love it!

Pay extra attention to the lucid shimmery socks and nude pumps.

Trend Alert - Combat Boots

In every sphere of life a girl needs a pair of boots (or booties) that is cute, comfortable and stylish to every extent. Comprehensively, to accomplish these desires, designers have drained their creative juices on a new casual "it-boot" for the typical girl on the run aiming for the punk/rock look. So if you happen to hear the footsteps of an army creeping up behind you stay calm, please donot panic as this will serve as eye candy to the fashionistas with a special place in their heart for vintage inspired footwear. Combat boots have been the "It-Boot" for months now...We've seen Rihanna, Keri and Angela Simmons spotting this trend as well as local highend retailers ;Urban Outfitters and Steve Madden. The best thing about wearing the lace up vinatge inspired combat is that a girls choice of clothing will be versatile, I mean everything from jeans to dresses and blazers to tshirts.

This Just In: Rihanna hit the red carpet a few hours ago at the NJR awards in Cannes. As usual the diva along with the brainchild behind the scenes (her stylist Mariel Hann) never seizes to amaze us with their choice of staples. Im sure Jean Paul Gautier is uberly proud that his piece looks effortlessly-chic on Ri Ri. She also won international artist of the year ....Props to Rih Rih!!! she's dressed for the occassion. Minnie Mouse Makes A Fashionable Comeback

Dont Call This A Comeback! To dismay of reigning fictional fashionistas the legendary "Minnie Mouse" is back on the scene and this time around she has a huge celebrity fan base. Watch out now Hello Kitty! I remember the days of Disney's Mickie Mouse with Minnie stealing every scene with her fashionably perky ensembles. I think its safe to say that Minnie invented trends like the polka dot, bow headbands, ballet flats, flattering baby doll dresses and the bold leggings. Lately, everyone from celebrity, models and designers are channelling their inner Minnie with their chic Minnie inspired outfits!
Solange Knowles is inspired by everything retro she has made it clear with her choice of music and also her personal style. Ofcourse the iconic Minnie will spark her interest. A few months ago Solo did an interview with blender magazine where she dressed up as minnie mouse. She pulled it off...

Designer Jeremy Scott is also channelling his inner minnie threw his mickey/minnie inspired ensemble worn by Rihanna on the set of her latest music video "Hard". She wore everything from her helmet, bullet bra and super super short cut-off shorts. We all know that Mariel Hann (Rihanna's Fashion Stylist) worked on this shoot a woman of great style so this is a definate co sign.

Gaga joined the Minnie bandwagon when she paraded the streets with the minnie mouse bow as her hair style. We all know that Lady Gaga has no problem in taking risks a definate reminder of the legendary minnie.

Angela Simmons attended a Halloween party this past October with her Minnie-Chic naughty attire. She has everything down. Flattering dress? Check! Minnie's signature bow? Check! Bold Stockings?Check! and her pearls are too adorable.

Rihanna was recently labelled a swagger jacker (by Kelis and many say Grace Jones) but Ri Ri definately adds a twist to her style making it original and tres chic. Its the details that count! She was spotted wearing a leopard bow brooch by designer Marc Clarke and its super cute. It tops at $50 - $60! A definate google me moment for Marc Clarke!

Throughout the year 2009 we've seen alot of trends but our most fashionable celebs has made the Leotard street chic. Yes, I'm talking about Lady Gaga and recently PCD's Melody Thorton actually parading the streets with the Leotard look. Beyonce wore her her bedazzled Theiry
Mugler piece on stage during her I Am tour while performing her Sasha Fierce hits. Likewise, Rihanna and Ciara followed this trend, but is it a hit or a miss? I absolutely love the leotard look. I think you need the confidence and the body to wear them. But please don't walk the streets wearing no pants. AND PLEASE wear stockings!
