With that being said I can help but think about all those who have failed miserably with the famous skin-tight mini. This look is for someone who is well-proportioned; not primarily skinny, thin, or petite. When wearing a skin type mini there are so many factors you must take into consideration. Fabric, length, color, body structure are just a few. Its essential that the best dress is chosen for the perfect shape. Choose pieces that will accentuate your feminine curves in the right spots.

Blaire Leighton Meester was spotted in Manhattan playfully yet intelligently pairing low end designer and mixed patterned fabrics to her stylish ensemble. Mixed prints are huge! There's no doubt about that but was it geniously-chic for a girl whose known for wearing Herve Ledger skin tight mini's, Oscar De La Renta gowns or Marc Jacob frocks? Leighton brilliantly pairs a $17 Charlotte Ronson for JC Penny floral skirt with jewel toned digital print tank. Absolutely love her choice of separates.

Lauren Conrad Style Book

The Hills star also New York Times Best Selling Author Lauren Conrad has "wowed" us with her successful post Hills projects. We thought the hiatus of her high end designer line self titled "Lauren Conrad" was the end of her career but little did we know her ongoing collaboration with department store Kohl's has awarded her total respect as a fashion designer. Many baffled at the announcement of her fiction novel LA Candy and Sweet Little Lies (I've read and covered both on this blog). Can we say SCORE for Lauren Conrad after this movie deal? Now Lauren is about to release a new book "Lauren Conrad Style". Lets face it, I'm really not a huge fan of reality stars writing books especially on this sensitive style factor, but if you're familiar with Lauren's effortlessly chic ensembles then you would be as amped as I am for this new book. I'm totally getting this style guide by LC. Tell me what you think, would you buy the book and what do you think about Lauren's personal style?
