Ciara was one of many celebs who walked the red carpet at Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" premier lastnight in NYC. Ciara's style has definitely evolved ever since "Goodies" and her first two albums but lately she's taken a fully fledged high fashion route with her style. I'm all for a effortless minimal look, so as Ciara decided to leave the thigh high biker boots and fur for a simple little black dress, hot leopard print booties and a gorgeous pink lip I couldn't help but give her The Chic Notebook's "Look Of The Day".

Look Of The Day: Raven Symone

Think of Raven Symone as the queen of minimalist. Whether its red carpet, appearances, tv, her ensembles are always so minimal yet energetic just as her character. Celebrity DJ Beverly Johnson brought the celebrities out on the pink carpet for the annual Black Girls Rock event in NYC. It's an award show honoring primarily ladies in entertainment  who has made a lasting impression on the community. This time around Black Girls Rock has collaborated with BET to bring you this exciting event that will empower the youth. Raven Symone has definitely inspired many, she's made it cool to be the good successful girl in Hollywood so BGR salutes her.

Back to her ensemble... Raven wore a bright green, simple A line dress paired with a black straped heel. 

What throws the look together perfectly is her effortless hair and makeup. Her flowing curls with burnt edges adds character to her entire ensemble. Groomed eye brows, smokey eyes, and a fresh nude lip has this starlet glowing. So feminine, so flirtatious, yet edgy. Love the look...

Look Of The Day: Tahj Mowry

Now that's a "Smart Guy"! Tahj Mowry is no longer the adventurous ten year old genius he played on tv. He has grown into a talented handsome style savvy gentleman who has made it clear that he is one of Michael Jackson's (King of Pop/Fashion Icon) biggest fans. Among so many other celebrities Tahj hit the red carpet at the 10th Anniversary of the BET awards with a freshly groomed ensemble. This is the epitome of a simple yet classic look which Tahj definitely owned. I hear my male friends who are supporters of this blog complain about the lack of male inspired fashion posts. I hope I did well this time because I fell in love with Tahj's look here. Decked from head to toe with pieces from fashion company All Saints, his daring leather jacket, simple grey tee, necklace, skinny cut jeans and the classic combats made his red carpet appearance effortlessly successful. The Chic Report Approves.

Letoya Luckett looks stunning in this dress but her hair and makeup is just flawless. I love the nude lip with this bold eye... The Chic Report approves.

Look Of The Day: Chanel Iman

Happy Monday Readers, I'm back with another "Look Of The Day". I'm changing things up a little since I've only given you my favorite celeb looks. Chanel Iman (my favorite model by the way) was recently featured in Vogue China for a beautiful high fashion spread. We all know Chanel is a familiar face of the Vogue pages but with this spread we see a more sophisticated Chanel. Less glam more chic! Thats what I like to call it, although the two goes hand in hand. I love the familar colors in this ensemble...When June Ambrose created "Effortless Style" this is probably what she had in mind. With the current humid temperatures style addicts have done a closet overload with loose/free staples. Chanel looks so CHIC in this shot... "The Chic Report" approves.

Look Of The Day: Ciara

Happy Easter Eve everyone! Hope you had a very blessed Good Friday. While everyone is about to face their holiday weekend in this glorious weather of NYC you cant be anything but cute, simple and chic in your ensembles. So maybe I was bias when it came to picking the "Look of The Day/Week" because of the great weather that we're having and most importantly because I'm leaving for my vacation in a few hours. If you've been following this blog for a while or even though you're a new comer my picks for Look of the Day is always very simple and unique. Theybf.com posted a picture of Ciara walking around LA with a really cute outfit which I love. Plaid button down with white tank, distressed boyfriend jeans paired with cute pair of hightop sandals and black studded pocket book adding edge to a casual ensemble. I really love those sandals! Look Of The Day: Fabolous

Hi Readers, Happy St Patricks Day! Its that time again, so I'm here to post my favorite celeb "Look Of The Day". It was really difficult this time around so I decided to think outside of the box for a bit. I've never featured a male celebrity for my "Look Of The Day" post so I thought that Fab would be the best fit since hisnew photoshoot with Signature Magazine. There were two looks which I spotted on theybf.com but this one won me over. I just felt the whole "hip-hop" look was too i come from the hood and now i have new clothes  overrated until I skipped under the cut and saw this pic. Love it! I appreciate a rapper or any hip hop artist who is clean, well groomed and still execute their art without fullfilling the sterotypes. Fab is wearing a vertical strip button down under a colared blazer, that paired with black slacks and a neat pair of tux topped with a clear framed pair of shades to add elegence.

I Love Parisan Street Style! minimalist hues, layered ensembles comes on strong with the atmosphere. Cassie will be our "Look Of The Day" glam-star today! I adore the model-off-duty look she's pulling off. Her layered scarf goes well with the light jacket and distressed boyfriend jeans paired with these 6 inch pumps to add elegance.  So Chic! I think its time for another "Look of The Day" dont you think? and this time it goes to the lovely Kim Kardashian. Spotted at the game Saints vs Colts game lastnight supporting boyfriend (...fiance?) Reggie Bush Kim looked dazzling in her shoulder statement blazer, flawless makeup and beautiful minx nails. She is very deserving of the "Look of the Day" award.
